$20 per hour | Daytime hours (7 a.m. to 4 p.m. - not guaranteed 40 hrs/week)

Position Summary

Meals on Wheels is seeking an organized and dependable Executive Director to oversee daily operations and ensure the efficient delivery of meals to clients throughout the community. This leadership role manages scheduling, client services, administrative functions, and financial responsibilities while supporting the organization’s mission to serve local seniors and homebound residents.

Daily Responsibilities

• Prepare route sheets, menus, and meal labels
• Schedule drivers for all 10 daily routes
• Place route sheets on coolers for pickup
• Prepare special meals as needed
• Label meals with client names
• Coordinate meal pickup and ensure drivers depart on schedule

Additional Responsibilities (As Needed)

• Write thank-you notes for donations
• Set up new clients, including determining routes, entering applications, updating route sheets, printing menus, and entering data into tallies, labels, QuickBooks, and One Call Now
• Send welcome letters to new clients
• Complete grant applications
• Process monthly payroll
• Pay payroll taxes and organizational bills
• Coordinate board meetings and prepare agendas
• Plan and organize fundraising events

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage schedules and coordinate volunteers
• Basic bookkeeping and QuickBooks experience preferred
• Comfortable with administrative and computer-based tasks
• Passion for serving seniors and the local community
